The HOW-TO’s of corporate gift giving
Rule #5 — DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN GET YOUR LOGO AS A TATTOO?
We have been in the gourmet gifting business for over 15 years and in the land of logo promotional gifts for 11 of those years. We understand there is a time and a place for all the different types of gifts available to you. So, when should you give food? When should you give tickets to an event? When should you give a branded item, or “swag”?
Rule number five is all about branding. Every company likes to see its brand out there. On just about anything from a coffee mug to a t-shirt to a temporary tattoo. So the question remains, when does a client want to be branded with one’s logo?
Take the Disney enterprise. What is Disney without great brand management? In what other instance would we see someone proudly wear a shirt with a mouse on it? In asking myself why Walt Disney and those that came after him have done such impeccable work with that brand, I realized it was all part of the culture of that organization. Your logo, your brand, your image ALL speak to your culture. Display it proudly and assume your clients are not just customers, but rather your “fans”.
Take some advice from Walt Disney. “When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionably”.Â
Take it even further, “Do what you do so well that they will want to see it again and bring their friends”.
And just for fun, one of my favorites, “The more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique”.
Brand what you will. Brand it with pride. Cherish and protect your brand. Use it appropriately, but have fun with it. Not every company has the brand power of Disney, but if you believe in your company as strongly as Disney does, your clients may become your “fans” in no time.
